About The Role

The manufacturing test engineer role will support and conduct testing of circuit board and sub-assemblies from board-level functional testing to system-level testing. The role also spans a broad scope of activities, including supporting failure analysis, repair/rework of boards/componentry, maintaining and repairing test fixtures, qualifying and releasing of test software, coordinating with suppliers and contract manufacturers, and reporting and managing issues arising during testing operations. 

Nobody in the world has direct experience with our system. We are therefore looking for extraordinary individuals with a track records and experience as a manufacturing test engineer. Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional testing on circuit boards, sub-assemblies, and systems
  • Conduct failure analysis and repair/rework boards and componentry
  • Design, implement, and maintain manufacturing test fixtures, including hardware and computer componentry
  • Qualify and release test software into a production environment
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to support production and continuous improvement
  • Communicate and manage issues that arise during testing operations in manufacturing
  • Execute, troubleshoot, and debug test scripts and deploy new software builds to prototype electronic devices 
  • Adhere to and support company and supplier safety policies and best practice

Requirements 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience 
  • 6-8 years of experience in electronics test and measurement
  • Strong computer skills are required 
  • Experience working on an assembly line in a production environment 
  • Experience using analog and digital electronics and associated test equipment (DMM, Oscilloscopes, etc.), including microprocessor systems (ie. Raspberry-pi) 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical and electronics aptitude 
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team 
  • Deadline and detail-oriented 
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers/ production personnel regarding job status and department pass down 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritize and multitask 
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English 
  • Must be able to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing 
  • Must be able to move from place to place within an office environment 
  • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
